Bisibele Bhath




Ingredients
1 Cup Rice(Akki)
3/4 to 1 Cup Split Pigeon Peas
(Toor Dal or Togaribele)
2-3 Carrots
15 Green Beans
1/2 cup Butter Peas(Avarekalu)
1 medium sized Potato(Alugadde)




Seasoning


1-2 tbsp Oil(Enne)
1 tsp Mustard seeds(sasuve)
3-4 Red Chilis(Ona Menasinakayee)
2 Stalks Curry Leaves(Karibevu)
2 to 3 pinch Asafetida(Ingu)
2 tsp Chili powder(Khardapudi)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder(Arishina)
3 tsp MTR Bisibele Bhath powder
2-3 tsp Tamarind paste or liquid(Hunisehuli)
2 to 3 tsp Brown sugar orLemon size Jagery(Bella)
Salt to taste
(optional: you can add any other vegetables)

Method
Wash Rice and Pigeon Peas or Bele,place the cut vegetables into the rice and put 3-4 cups of Water. cook in the Pressure Cooker. After 1-2 whistles, turn off the stove. Let it cool.
Heat the oil in a pan or pot on the stove. When its heats up, put mustard seeds, red chilis, curry leaves and asafetida(ingu). Now add Cooked Rice,Peas(Bele or Dal) and vegetables into the pot, then add Red Chillie powder, Turmeric powder, MTR Bisibele Bhath powder, Tamarind paste, Brown sugar or Jagery(Bella),
 and Salt.If it's required add a little water,bring to boil. Turn off the stove.
Garnish with Coriander leaves.


Your Bisibele Bhath is ready to eat.
Serving 4-6
